Clear the Licorice Swirls
The main blockers on Candy Crush Saga level 557 has got to be those darned licorice swirls. These blockers not only obstruct potential matches on the level, but they also absorb the blasts from striped candies. They deserve to die in the street like dogs! Make matches next to these licorice swirls to send them back to hell where they belong. Just look at their spiraled shape. That is the horse man's symbol if I've ever seen it, and believe me I have. I've some seen things... The licorice swirls should not be fought with striped candies, they are too strong for such a strategy. Instead, use special candy combinations or stern glares to tell them that they are out of line and should politely leave at once.

Beware the Conveyor Belt!
The licorice swirls can be difficult to address because they are on conveyor belts that move them over one tile every turn. The top conveyor belt rotates candies to the right and the bottom conveyor belt moves candies to the left. Both conveyor belts are bookended by teleporters that circulate the candies across the board creating an optical illusion that can make Candy Crush Saga level 157 difficult to conquer. If space is cleared on a tile outside of the torso of the board, reinforcing licorice swirls will come and take their place on the conveyor belt again. This phenomenon is mondo annoying. It's like, cut it out licorice swirls, ugh!

Make Special Candy Combinations
Special candy combinations are super helpful on Candy Crush Saga level 557! Of course, these are helpful on every level but some levels more than others, my dear. Use color bombs and wrapped candies to destroy many blockers and jellies at once in a burst of glory.
