Striped Candy
Match 4 candies in a row
Clears an entire row OR column (direction depends on how you made it)
Tip: Horizontal match = vertical stripe. Vertical match = horizontal stripe.
Wrapped Candy
Match 5 candies in an L or T shape
Explodes twice in a 3x3 area (9 squares total, then 9 more)
Tip: Great for clearing jellies and breaking blockers in corners.
Color Bomb
Match 5 candies in a straight line
Clears ALL candies of whichever color you swap it with
Tip: Save these for when the board has lots of one color. Even better: combine with another special.
Combo Power Rankings
Combining two special candies creates powerful effects. Here are all combos ranked by board-clearing power:
Color Bomb + Color Bomb
🌈+🌈Effect: Clears the ENTIRE board
The rarest and most powerful combo. Wipes every single candy off the board.
Color Bomb + Wrapped Candy
🌈+🎁Effect: Turns all candies of that color into wrapped candies, then detonates them
Massive chain reaction that clears most of the board. Excellent for hard levels.
Color Bomb + Striped Candy
🌈+🍬Effect: Turns all candies of that color into striped candies, then activates them all
Creates a web of horizontal and vertical clears across the board. Very effective.
Wrapped + Wrapped
🎁+🎁Effect: Creates 4 massive explosions (double the normal wrapped effect)
Four 3x3 explosions in sequence. Great for cluster objectives.
Striped + Wrapped
🍬+🎁Effect: Creates a giant cross pattern: 3 rows AND 3 columns cleared
Covers a large cross-shaped area. Perfect for reaching corners.
Striped + Striped
🍬+🍬Effect: Clears one full row AND one full column simultaneously
Forms a + pattern. Simple but effective for opening the board.
When to Use Each Combo
For Jelly Levels
Best: Wrapped + Wrapped (concentrated explosions) or Color Bomb + Wrapped (covers most jellies). Focus on jellies in corners and hard-to-reach areas.
For Ingredient Levels
Best: Striped + Striped (opens paths) or Color Bomb + Striped (clears blockers from drop columns). Make striped candies near ingredients to push them down.
For Score Levels
Best: Color Bomb + Color Bomb (massive points) or Color Bomb + Wrapped (chain reaction bonus). The more cascades, the higher your score multiplier.
For Breaking Blockers
Best: Striped + Wrapped (giant cross hits multiple blockers) or Color Bomb + Striped (targets specific areas). Prioritize blockers that limit board movement.
Pro Tips
Don't Activate Immediately
When you create a special candy, look for a combo opportunity before using it solo. A combined special is almost always better than two separate activations.
Position Color Bombs Strategically
Before swapping a Color Bomb, check which color has the most pieces on the board. Target the most common color for maximum clears.
Play from the Bottom
Matches at the bottom create more cascades, which often accidentally create special candies. Check the bottom before looking at the top.
Ignore the Suggested Move
The game's suggested move is rarely the best move. Take time to scan for special candy opportunities instead of following hints.
