Candy Crush Level 290 Video

Level 290 is a Jelly level, one of five level types in Candy Crush Saga. Your objective is to clear all jelly in 50 moves, and score at least 35,000 points. In order to complete a Jelly level, you must remove all of the jelly on the board. You remove jelly from the board by making a match with a piece of candy on top of the jelly. In the higher levels, you can sometimes get stuck on double jelly levels. On those you have to make two matches on top of a square of jelly in order to clear it from the board! We've got all the tips to beat jelly levels you need here at candy crush cheats!

How To Beat Jelly Levels:

  • Your only objective in jelly levels is to clear the jelly. That means you should only be worried about making matches on top of the jelly, and not other parts of the board.
  • If you can't make a match on top of the jelly, try using jelly fish! Jelly fish act like normal candies in that you match them with other candies of the same color. But when you make a match with a jelly fish, its will activate and swim off the screen. Then three new jelly fish will swim on screen and eat three jelly squares. For double jelly squares, this will count as one match. If jelly is stuck under a blocker that isn't licorice, the jelly fish will still eat the jelly from under the blocker.
  • Jelly squares at the top of the board and at the corners can be tricky, since these are the hardest spot to match candies. Watch out for these, and try to clear the board first.
  • When you clear all the jelly from the level, you will get a sugar crush. This will give you a ton of points.

Bonus Tip: Corner Jelly Strategy

AI

Corners are hardest to reach. Focus on creating striped candies near corners early, before you run low on moves.

Spend a lot of time breaking the jellies? Use the jellyfish? That's your tips? What a joke!

Perhaps you should use the jelly fish to your advantage and combine them with a special candy then Matt.

Here is a tip that is as useful as the others if not better. Clear the board and move on to the next level! And stop bitching.

Agree with Matt - the whole point is to clear the jellies, I wanted a tip on how!

Since this "strategy" was of little to no help for me and others, I'll explain my strategy. It'd be great if you could upload this to this page, moderator. It seriously is the best strategy for this board. It's the same strategy for EVERY tough jelly board with lots of multi-layered meringues. If you're playing on the phone, reset over and over until you start with something great. Try to make early combos with wrapped candies. - Wrapped Candies, wrapped candies, wrapped candies! Double wrapped candies work especially well considering the blast radius and power is so high, so if you manage to get one of those... utilize it! You don't actually NEED the jellyfish to beat this board, but they can help if you're out of options. So by all means, utilize those too if they can help clear the path. - If you're going to depend on the jellyfish, HOLD OFF USING THEM UNTIL MERINGUES ARE MOSTLY GONE. Otherwise there's a strong chance it will be wasted on a single layer of the multi-layered meringues. Which is pointless when you still need to clear 2 layers of jelly underneath the 4 and 5 layers of meringue on top of it. - Don't waste precious moves clearing candies that won't help you out in anything but the next 2 moves. If you're finding yourself making repeated candy swaps with little to no effect on the jellies or multi-layered meringues, then you're probably not going to win. - Don't waste a lot of time trying for color bombs unless it takes less than 1 or 2 moves to create one. Wrapped candies are far more valuable for clearing meringues than color bombs in this particular board. They do help, but the difficulty in creating color bombs can often eat away at your move numbers. Hope all of this helps!

Thank you, but the problem is I can't save the jelly fish for just the jellies(because of special candies)

Yes, this was much more helpful than the "no shit, Sherlock" info offered here. I can't seem to get beyond eleven or so to go.

The problem is I play on a laptop. I can't reset even once, so I'm stuck with whatever I'm dealt. I think it's totally unfair for the game to play differently on different devices!

some fine tips here
megan murtha's avatar
If making FIVE striped+ color bomb combos AND two wrapped plus striped combos leave me with 20 jellies left at the end then there is no way to beat this level.
Bex99's avatar
Useless tips for this one. "Use fish wisely"? Gee, thanks. However, I do thank Aridbadlands for their useful information.
Ruth Leahy's avatar
Yes. Use fish wisely. With striped or wrapped candies so they set up more and take out more. Perfectly sensible Tip. Smell the grass.

My free spin has gone, it says face book session ended, im not on face book, help please.

Is anyone trying to get free spins back.

Beat it on the 3rd try. Had one jelly left with 4 moves left. Was able to manipulate the candies and knock out the last on from across the board with a striped candy. I do not spend money on this game. I believe you have to be patient and watch your moves. But even more than that I believe it is luck. I have found that if I have trouble getting through a level, that if I play very late at night or very early in the AM (I have insomnia) that I miraculously can just win the level with ease. As always relax and have fun...it is just a game.
Karen's avatar
I'll play a level for 4 or 5 days with absolutely no success and suddenly, voilà...the board is cleared with moves left over. Feels like the only difference between abject failure and amazing success comes down to luck. I'm always suspicious about a "setup." Unless you start with a really good combination of candies, there's no possible way to win, no matter what strategy you use.

I agree, early in the morning,I usually win pretty quickly.
