Ignore the meringue.
By this point it's probably muscle memory for you to start targeting meringue as soon as you see it. But in this level, meringue is only a distraction. Instead, concentrate on unlocking the striped candy trapped in marmalade first. You'll need to make two more, but these are ripe for the picking.
Look for special combos.
Once you open the licorice at the top, bombs will start spilling into the level. Hold off on using any vertical striped candies until you're within 5 turns of the end. When the bombs do fall, take advantage of them to make additional striped candies and set them off with impunity.
